Principal Marine Consultant - Perth

About the Role:

EHS Support is looking for a Principal Marine Consultant to join our Australia team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with industry leaders, manage complex approvals, and guide clients through high-profile projects. With access to AES’s and EHS Supports national approvals Community, you’ll work on both local and international projects that make a difference. You will work closely with the AES / EHS Support senior leadership to help realise the vision of AES/EHS Support being recognised as a top tier provider of primary and secondary approvals across a diverse range of businesses and industry sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical proposals and strengthen client relationships through business development.
  • Develop new lines of service delivery leveraging your complementary skills and expertise with the existing AES/EHS team.
  • Assist in the delivery of a high performing national approvals team.
  • Lead environmental impact assessments and complex approvals processes.
  • Manage projects within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level consultants to build their expertise in environmental approvals.
  • Foster collaboration within AES and EHS Supports multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental approvals, both primary and secondary.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
  • Broader experience in environmental management and stakeholder engagement is advantageous.
  • Experience within the oil and gas, offshore, or onshore sectors preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Authorisation to work in Australia.
