Position Details
EHS Support is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior-level Water Resources Engineer to join our dynamic Remediation Engineering team. In this role, you will work on a diverse range of water resources projects across the United States, including stormwater modeling and design, surface-water hydraulic modeling, contaminant fate and transport studies, and NPDES permitting support.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of technical applications within the Water Resources sector.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development and analysis of hydrologic, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic models.
Research and analyze environmental information, including stream gage, weather, and oceanographic data, to support model development and decision-making.
Conduct field investigations and data collection for water resource projects.
Prepare technical reports, engineering plans, and presentations.
Support the design and implementation of stormwater management systems, remedial designs, and other engineering projects.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in water resources engineering or a related discipline.
Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling methods and software (e.g., TR-55, HEC-RAS, SWMM).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AutoCAD or other design software.
Familiarity with local, state, and federal water resource regulations.
Previous employment, internship, or co-op experience in water resources or environmental consulting.
